Arkansas's dam was a beautiful bay pinto while her sire was a majestic black blanket appaloosa. Arkansas was born in a cave during the night. Her dam had left the herd a few days before to foal. The filly stood almost immediately as they returned to the herd a few days later. Arkansas had met her father which was the band stallion while her mother was the lead mare.
A few years past as the filly grew to be a young, strong, agile, brave, and a beautiful mare. She loved to explore as she wandered away from the herd one day. She wandered through the woods when her ears perked hearing and smelling another horse nearby. She stopped as she realized it was man. The man chased her as she galloped as fast as she could back to the herd to warn them.
It was too late. By the time she saw her herd, the lasso wrapped around her neck. She saw her dam and sire before they ran away with the herd, as her days of being wild and free would be over.
She was brought to the stables as she looked like she had been born in the world of men. All the men and horses had looked at her because of her very unique and beautiful coat. One stallion had caught his eyes on her. He could sense something about her. As the mare in turn had lifted her head up a little to look at the stallion. The mare was placed in a stall next to the stallion. The stallion was a Tennessee Walker as his coat was a beautiful champagne color. Over the days, weeks, and months the two got to know each other. The men always loved to watch the two lovebirds in the paddock as they were always next to other as they nuzzled and groomed each other.
It had been a year since Arkansas was caught, and she missed her dam and sire every second of the day hoping she will see them again. The time of year came around the men bred the two lovebirds. A few weeks later, Arkansas was carrying a foal. She got used to the world of men, but she always wanted to return home, and so her foal could see where she came from and what it was like to be wild.
