     Skadi is the goddess of archery, and lives in the deep forest. It isn't often she is seen, but if your lucky she will show herself. The mare is at one with the forest and nature. Skadi is self-natured and peaceful. Everyone says she is peaceful, graceful, and powerful, and the legends are true. Skadi is the protector and guardian of the forest and everything within it.

     Everything was peaceful and safe until a wildfire broke out. All the wild horses, deer, birds, and many other creatures had tried to escape, but not all of them did. Skadi tried to light a path to freedom for those that were trapped inside. Unfortunately, most of the rest got out safely. The wildfire was more than the goddess could handle, and it took everything she had to safe everyone. Though, she was unable to. The mare had fallen within the flames drained of all her power and magic. Those that didn't make it out, had fallen with her.

     The mate of Skadi, had soon returned to the burning forest. He had stopped the fire, and was soon able to save his love. Skadi recovered, and had always blamed herself for what had happened. She was the protector, guardian, and she had miserably failed. Lives were lost because she wasn't strong enough to save everyone. The mare had slowly revived the forest and honored those she failed in front of those she saved. It was very rare for her to show herself like that, but she wouldn't let anything like that happen again.
